Great American Insurance Group has announced the promotions of  Brian D. DeSoto, Carrie A. Little and Richard L. Suter to the role of Divisional Group President.

DeSoto joined Great American in 2008, when he started his career at the firm serving in their Corporate Claims Division. In 2010, he then joined Great American Risk Solutions, formerly the Specialty E&S Division.

Since then, DeSoto has served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, and was later promoted to Divisional President in January 2021. With this promotion, in addition to serving as Divisional President of Great American Risk Solutions, DeSoto will now assume reporting responsibilities for Great American’s Environmental Division and Mid-Continent Group.

Moreover, Little joined Great American in 2004, serving as a Business Analyst. In 2006, she would then transition to the firms leadership development program and was placed within the Specialty Human Services Division.

During her tenure within that division she held various leadership roles. Most recently she served as Divisional Senior Vice President. Within her new role, Little will oversee the Accident & Health, Surety Bonds, Public Sector, Excess Liability and Innovative Markets Divisions and Great American’s Loss Control services.

In addition, Suter joined Great America’s Alternative Markets Division in 2012. Since joining the division, he has served in a variety of different leadership roles. In 2017, he was promoted to Divisional President.

Great American has confirmed that Suter will continue to serve in this role, along with the additional responsibilities of overseeing Great American’s Strategy & Innovation, New Revenue & Strategic Partnerships and Agency & Broker Relations functions.
