Chubb, a global property and casualty insurance company, has announced the appointment of David Kirk as Division President of Chubb Global Markets, which encompasses the company’s London Market wholesale and specialty business, including its Lloyd’s operations.
Kirk currently serves as Head of Marine & Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for the division. He will assume his new role on July 1, pending regulatory approval.
In his new executive role, Kirk will be responsible for overseeing all operations and strategic initiatives for Chubb Global Markets.
He will report directly to David Furby, Senior Vice President of Chubb Group and Regional President of Chubb Europe, Middle East, and Africa. As Kirk steps into his new role, Furby will relinquish his position as Division President of Chubb Global Markets.
“David brings significant experience in the London wholesale market,” commented Furby. “His underwriting experience and deep knowledge of Chubb Global Markets ideally position him to lead the continued development of our London
Market wholesale business.”
Kirk, who joined Chubb in 2005, brings nearly two decades of industry experience to his new position. Throughout his tenure, he has held various roles with increasing responsibility within the Marine sector of Chubb Global Markets.
