Skyward Specialty makes senior appointments to Healthcare, Transactional Property E&S teams

Property and Casualty insurer Skyward Specialty Insurance Group Inc. has bolstered its Healthcare Solutions portfolio and expanded its Transactional Property E&S underwriting units with senior appointments.

Julie Miglin has been named Vice President and will spearhead the expansion of the Healthcare Solutions unit and introduce the new Life Sciences solutions.

Simultaneously, Steven Smith will lead the Transactional E&S Property portfolio.

Miglin has more than 15 years of underwriting experience, before this, she specialised in Life Sciences underwriting at Chubb and Beazley.

Jim Mormile, President of Professional Lines, Skyward Specialty Insurance commented on the appointment: “The addition of Life Sciences marks another significant milestone in our journey to a highly specialised portfolio of healthcare related professional and product liability solutions.”

“Julie’s profound knowledge and vision for this new solution will undoubtedly position us as leaders in this market.”

Smith has over three decades of underwriting expertise specialising in E&S, including Highly Protected Risk engineering, reinsurance, and E&S underwriting.

Most recently, Smith spent 13 years at RSUI Group, Inc. building a strong property portfolio and developing key relationships in the industry.
